Lisa Belcher
Writer/Director/Producer Lisa has been involved in the film industry in many different capacities over her career. She founded Brilliant Images, a videography company, in 2000 and provided professional videos for weddings as well as corporate clients. She is an avid screenwriter, and has written several feature and short scripts. She was with Acclaim Talent agency as an actor, and has done freelance work in Asia as well. She played a lead role in the stage play Otherhood, in 2013 in Hong Kong, but her recent focus has been in production. She took on the roles of producer and co-writer on the feature film, My Name is Tanyusha, which is currently in post production. She, along with partner Harry Oram, headed up the Hong Kong unit of a feature film based out of Toronto called Hacker. She is also a founder of Hong Kong based production company HK Reels. Harry Oram
Producer/Writer Harry Oram was born and raised in Hong Kong and is proud to be part of such a cosmopolitan and diverse city. Harry's career has primarily been in acting. He began performing at a young age and later enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, where he studied for two years. During this time Harry performed in Off-Broadway shows, mostly in Shakespearean Productions but also as Hercules in Central Park. He further pursed his love of film by partnering with writer/ director Rodrigo Lopez Portillo, and together founded"Bed Of Flames Productions". They created 8 short films and one of these, "Days Of Awakening", won several short film awards in Mexico. Upon returning to Hong Kong, he partnered with Lisa Belcher and Miklos Selva Von Kosta Rab and founded the HK Reels production company. Alongside Lisa, he also produced and directed the feature film "My Name is Tanyusha" which is currently in post production; "Hacker" as Production Managers, and now will be working together on "The Gift". Harry read "The Gift" and was instantly inspired. He is truly excited about putting this heart-warming story on the screen. |
Lillian W Yang
Associate Producer Born in the suburbs of Chicago, Lillian moved to Hong Kong at the age of 11, where she attended Hong Kong International School. This is her first serious venture into the motion picture industry. Prior to The Gift, Lillian was on sabbatical to spend time with her family and before that she worked as an auditor for KPMG in Hong Kong. Lillian received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from Wellesley College. She currently resides in Hong Kong with her husband Andrew and their children, Kayla and Ryan. |
Ines Laimins
Writer/First Assistant Director Writer/First AD for The Gift. Ines is an American actress and photographer based in Hong Kong, fluent in Mandarin, she works locally and internationally in film, commercial, and TV. Director of Photography Derrick is a Cinematographer, television producer and editor. Derrick’s film credits include Heartless (2014), Wing Chun (2014) and Supercapitalist (2012). Emillie Chiu
Production Designer Emillie has been active in stage and filming productions from art directing to sets & costumes design and managerial roles for year, who obtained her Fine Arts Degree (BA Hons) and Stage Production background from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and The University of Virginia. Recent productions include theatre productions <Forget Herostratus> (2012), <Otherhood> (2013), <Momo the Fancy Dress> (2013) and <The Divas> (2013). Abraham Boyd
Production Manager A native of San Francisco, California. Abraham studied method acting and received his Masters in theatre, from the renowned Jean Shelton Actors’ Lab, in San Francisco, California. Abraham’s stage debut in Margaret Edson’s Wit, was with the Amercian Community Theater (ACT) in Hong Kong. He went on to play James Lingk in David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross, the Narrator in Christopher Durang’s, Nina in the Morning, Judge Hawthorne in Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, and Frank Braddock in Terry Johnson’s stage play The Grauate. Abraham has also appeared in film, commercials, and as a voice artist. Credits include Infernal Affairs II & III; Heat Team (dir. Dante Lam); Ultra Violet (dir.Kurt Wimmer); Dragon Squad (dir. David Lee), Transformers 4 The Age of Extinction (dir. Michael Bey) and the short film The Attack (dir Joey Cheng Federer). |
Steven Wayne
Story by Steven wrote the short story "The Gift" that this film is based on. He is currently Founder & CEO of ProspectNow. Prior to launching ProspectNow, Wayne successfully sold retail shopping centers in Northern California at Marcus & Millichap. Having millions of dollars in transaction experience, Wayne understood the need in the commercial real estate industry for an all-in-one database. Using his 10 years of expertise within the software industry, and relying upon the knowledge he gained from founding three other successful technology companies, Wayne set out to make the search process easier for commercial agents.. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona. He resides in Los Altos, CA with his wife and two sons. |
Bettina Enigl
Editor Bettina accomplished her masters in film and media studies in Vienna, where she is also based. She has participated in independent, as well as commercial projects. Starting out as an assistant sound editor more than 10 years ago, she has always loved being part of the post-production team, and re-creating the film through that process.
